Casa do Sarau programmes a small number of readers and performers each edition. If you write, translate, sing or perform in Portuguese, we would like to hear from you.
How it works

You get in touch
Tell us who you are, what you would read or play, and where we can hear or read your work.

We read everything
Proposals are read between editions. We reply either way, though it can take a few weeks.

We build an evening
If your work fits an upcoming edition, we agree a slot, a running time and how to introduce you.
You do not need a published book. Many of the most memorable readings have been unpublished work heard for the first time. There is also an open microphone at every edition — just sign up at the door.
